Welcome to Our Family

This site primarily concerns the history of the family begun by George Henry Brown and Hariett Eliza Sedgwick-Brown.

For any previous visitors, you will notice that the page banner has again changed. The image above comes from an original picture of the Brown family at a 1912 gathering. At that time, all of the descendants (and their spouses) of Fred and Etta Brown were present. There are now in excess of 300 descendants from my great great grandparents. I wonder if they realized the impact they would have on the world?

Our family tree has been completed (the Sedgwick branch in large part by distant cousins) to the 14th century.  There are many stories to tell. Please if you are a member of the family and have some interesting stories about our family, feel free to e-mail me, I will post them here.

For an interesting read on the Sedgwick family download Sedgwick 1934.pdf.  If you are a member of the Sedgwick family, the Brown or the Wright family there is likely something here for you. And for a dash of diversity, there is some information on the members of the Graham family. the Harr family, a Southwick or two as well as some Adkins, Moats, Titchnells and Herndons.

My version of our families’ (is that a real plural possessive?) history currently includes some 13,000 members.  Please, if you are a member of a family descending from George Henry Brown and Hariett Eliza Sedgwick, feel free to e-mail me.
